What is a Nest?

A Nest is much more than just a location or office.

It is a regional AI knowledge network in which we are locally present with customers, collaborate with, for example, educational institutions, involve partners, and supervise consultants.

From every Nest, we provide expertise and build a strong community.

What happens in a Nest?

Tick Icon
Project execution with local teams
From a Nest, consultancy and project assignments are carried out for customers in the region. High-Flyers lead these processes, with support from juniors, trainees or partners from our network. Thanks to a local presence, communication is fast and engagement is high.
Tick Icon
Talent development through the AI Flight Academy
Each Nest acts as a learning space for AI talent. Trainees and working students start their careers here via the AI Flight Academy. They are supervised by experienced consultants and grow with real customer projects, in a safe and educational setting.
Tick Icon
Customer relations & regional business development
Nest Leads maintain direct contact with clients in their region. They understand local issues and build long-term collaborations. New customers are also proactively approached from the Nest through local visibility and network building.
Tick Icon
Knowledge Sharing & Innovation
Within each Nest, Flock Sessions are organized: monthly knowledge sessions where team members, customers and partners discuss current themes, give demos and learn from each other. This way, each Nest remains sharp and connected to the wider platform in terms of content.

FAQs

What makes working at Blackbirds unique compared to other consultancy firms?

Plus Icon

We mainly work on our projects from our beautiful office in Little C. We have high bonuses, what you, as an employee, do a lot more entrepreneurial makes and is also more involved in achieving turnover ambitions. Entrepreneurship also includes flexibility. In choices, during periods when you want to work a little more or just a little less. And finally, our regional focus. We have the strategy to build a regional community of clients, Blackbirds employees and partners. And to do this at several locations in the Netherlands in the coming years.

What training and education opportunities does Blackbirds offer?

Plus Icon

We offer a training budget. This allows you to develop yourself in a direction that helps you move forward and increases your relevance in Blackbirds projects. From Blackbirds, your manager will also coach and advise you on this. However, we believe that you mainly learn 'on the job'. Also because we regularly have to deal with the most modern applications and associated solutions within projects. Want to know more about what we offer you when you join Blackbirds?

What does the onboarding process look like for new employees?

Plus Icon

You will be paired with a buddy. This introduces you to all formal (and sometimes informal) processes and issues. Within projects, there is a senior colleague who supports you in joining or starting a new project. We also came up with some fun things that we'll keep a secret for a while 😉. But promised: they are fun and valuable.

What are Blackbirds' key values and mission?

Plus Icon

The world is changing rapidly. More data is being captured than ever and the opportunities to unlock it and make it valuable are growing rapidly with new technologies. This means that many organizations face the challenge of transforming into a more data-driven organization. At Blackbirds, we focus on supporting this domain. And not only from advice and strategy, but also from carrying out projects and managing applications. This is how we help companies in the Netherlands to lead the way and stay relevant in the longer term. Want to know more about Blackbirds? Continue reading here.

What benefits and benefits does Blackbirds offer?

Plus Icon

Blackbirds works with a High Flyer reward. This means that if you work a lot of hours on projects, your bonus will increase significantly. Often much more than with other employers. You also get a training budget, a health program that includes a healthy lunch, vacation days, a lot of flexibility and freedom of choice. The most important thing is that you learn a lot in your assignments. Blackbirds is also designed for this.

What growth opportunities does Blackbirds offer their employees?

Plus Icon

This varies where you are in your career and your needs. We offer development paths from junior to medior to senior, but also in breadth, where you develop new skills as a consultant. As a junior or medior, you work with a senior on projects that teach you a lot. As a medior or senior, you will learn to share your content expertise and experience within your team and, if you aspire to do so, also towards clients or the market. Part of the Blackbirds Highflyer program is designed for this.

What does a typical workday look like for a data management consultant at Blackbirds?

Plus Icon

A consultant often works from the office in project teams, often on multiple projects at the same time. Of course, sometimes also with the client. There is also space to work from home, for example to work really dedicated and undisturbed on code. There is coordination with the team, possibly with the client. Depending on the service provided, activities can be more advisory or investigative, or really focused on developing a high-end data solution. You can read more about working at Blackbirds here.
