Hoe ziet het onderhoud van zo een project eruit?

De opzet van onze beheer en support is afhankelijk van of de applicatie door ons gehost wordt of bij de klant draait. In laatste geval verzorgen we functioneel beheer en kunnen we ook als partner meehelpen in analyse en advies op basis van de rapportages die we bij onze oplossing leveren. Bij hosting werken we op basis van een SLA. Variabele kosten zoals bijvoorbeeld AI tokens (die je in een soort credits systeem verbruikt als je een AI iets laat doen), berekenen we 1-op-1 door aan de klant. En de kosten zijn afhankelijk van de complexiteit van de taak (bepaalt hoeveel tokens per actie wordt gerekend) en het aantal taken per maand. We helpen klanten voor ze een contract bij ons tekenen altijd graag om een beter beeld bij de te verwachten gebruikerskosten te krijgen. Zo krijgen onze klanten op een transparante wijze inzicht.

Waarom zou je kiezen voor Blackbirds en niet voor een ander bedrijf?

Dat is natuurlijk voor iedereen anders. Maar wat we bij Blackbirds doen is dat we iets naast of over bestaande applicaties leggen met onze oplossing. Dit voorkomt veel tijd en aandacht aan dure integraties, licenties van (enterprise) SaaS oplossingen. We werken projectgebaseerd. Na iedere fase kun je als klant besluiten het zelf te doen. We bouwen liefst een applicatie die binnen de architectuur van de klant draait. Een goede overdracht en training van de klantorganisatie hoort hier uiteraard bij.

Blackbirds werkt op basis van fixed price, fixed scope principe. Dit betekent dat het risico bij ons ligt. Verder helpen we na initiele lancering van onze applicatie vrijwel al onze klanten met functioneel beheer op de applicatie, analyse en advies (indien gewenst). Al is dat natuurlijk niet verplicht.

Hoe weten we dat onze data veilig bewaard wordt als we een project aangaan met Blackbirds?

We werken volgens enkele fundamentele ontwerpprincipes binnen Blackbirds. Twee belangrijke: 1. het 'security by design' principe. Dit betekent dat onze oplossingen zo worden gebouwd dat de kans en schaal van een data issue wordt geminimaliseerd. 2. we zijn echte AI-fanaten, maar we gebruiken het alleen wanneer het niet anders kan. Dit betekent meer controle, minder afhankelijkheid van AI (en dure tokens). En meer voorspelbaarheid en transparantie. Verder werken we conform ISO 27001 (informatiebeveiliging), draaien onze data servers binnen de EU, zijn we AVG compliant en voor financiele instellingen ook bijvoorbeeld DORA compliant.

Hoe gaat Blackbirds concreet aan de slag met een opdracht?

Bij Blackbirds werken we vanuit projecten. We werken vanuit gestandaardiseerde oplossingen aan een project. Voor bijvoorbeeld planning is bepaalde data nodig, maar ook voorkeursinstellingen en succescriteria. Blackbirds levert in de eerste maand een Proof of Concept op. Dit is een werkende applicatie, op basis van een kleine dataset of test dataset. Vervolgens draaien we de applicatie binnen een afdeling, of op enkele onderdelen (beperkte scope) zodat echt medewerkers de oplossing gebruiken. De stap erna is om de applicatie volledig uit te rollen en te integreren binnen de architectuur van de klant.
